Matthew Long is from Raleigh, NC and is the oldest of 6 kids. He studied at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and was a part of their booming music scene in the 90's and 2000's as a member of The Mayflies USA (YepRoc Records). After touring for 7 years and opening for legendary bands like the Flaming Lips and R.E.M., The Mayflies went their separate ways and Matt ended up in Brooklyn in 2005. He started the pop-americana-folk band, The Library, and currently works as a freelance composer, producer and music supervisor when not playing shows or producing his own records.
